Cause: WV Gold Star Mothers is a department of American Gold Star Mothers. We are a non profit service organization. Our top goal is to assist veterans. Currently we are supporting the memorial tree planting and upkeep at Canaan Valley State Park. We help homeless veterans as well as those currently deployed.

Cause: Challenged Athletes of WV provides adaptive sports and recreation opportunities for children and adults with disabilities. Programs include adaptive ski school operations in Pocahontas and Tucker Counties, summer activities, and annual multi-sports camps for wounded veterans and their families. Cause: Literacy volunteers of Randolph County promotes literacy in Randolph County. Through volunteer teaching programs to individuals wishing to improve literacy. We provide tutoring in basic reading to adult students and in English as a Second Language to non-native English speakers in Randolph.

Cause: Team Hannah was created in memory of Hannah Friend to support the youth of Tucker County by sharing the message of Christ's love. Today the fund sponsors community children with church camp scholarships, youth trips, and weekly youth activities. Cause: Team Pioneer is raising money to maintain and enhance the services of Pioneer Memorial Public Library. We hope to support PMPL's mission to "engage, empower, educate, and entertain by providing access to information." PMPL serves the residents of Harman, its surrounding communities, and as the library for the Harman School.

Cause: West Virginia Mountain Ministries is an outreach ministry that utilizes our God-given location in Canaan Valley to find unique ways to share Jesus. We reach out to residents and visitors in Tucker County through ski-in worship services, sportsman suppers, resort ministries, wilderness survival training classes, etc.

Cause: Public libraries ensure that education, knowledge, and technology are available to everyone, and in our small rural community the library is a lifeline for many! The proposed defunding of the Institute of Museum and Library Services at the federal level will have a profound impact on all libraries in WV, especially our own Mountaintop Public Library. While we are striving toward construction of a new library building, it is also very important to keep our current library operations at the highest level possible. The proceeds from the 2017 Run For It will be used for the purchase of books, programming, supplies, and technology (40%), as well as contributing towards the Mountaintop Public Library New Building Match Fund (60%). The continued support of our community is greatly appreciated.

Cause: Friends of the Cheat (FOC) is a grassroots watershed group working to "restore, preserve, and promote the outstanding natural qualities of the Cheat River watershed." FOC cleans up acid mine drainage pollution, monitors stream health, develops regional rail-trails and public river accesses, and educates and advocates for a healthy environment. Cause: A non-profit residency program formed in 1992 by parents, teachers, administrators, and volunteers to expand and enrich the arts experiences in our public schools to cultivate artistically literate citizens. Professional artists direct projects in collaboration with classroom teachers and art teachers.

Cause: We run to save lives! All Run For It proceeds are directed to our Spay/Neuter Assistance and Community Cats programs, helping Preston County families and saving lives by reducing the number of homeless and unwanted pets. We welcome team members and sponsors for our cause.

Cause: To help the Davis Riverfront Park with upkeep and new editions to the park. We wold like to have a stage for bands and a bathroom for everyone to enjoy.

The goal of the group is to increase interest in running and healthy living while also providing opportunities and resources for student athletes to excel in athletic competitions.

Cause: DTEMS-PTO is now in phase 2 of our gym restoration project. With the help of RFI and other fundraising efforts, we were able to install a new gym floor this summer. We are now raising funds for new bleachers since the old ones were a safety hazard and could not be put back in the gym. This is very exciting for DTEMS!

Cause: We are proud to walk for the Randolph/Tucker Children's Advocacy Center who work to prevent abuse and keep children safe. They work with multidisciplinary teams to successfully prosecute child abuse perpetrators and assist with coordinated investigations. Our local CAC assures the highest standard of care is provided to child victims.

Cause: Assist with first aid and transportation to EMS from Canaan Valley Ski Resort and Conference Center. CVSP trains continuously through the ski season and even through the summer to hone our skills and provide the best service possible.

Cause: The DHS Foundation Patient Assistance Fund makes the financial burden of illness a little easier by providing direct aid to patients to help with temporary lodging, local transportation costs, infant safety car seats, prescriptions, and medical supplies or equipment not covered by insurance.

Cause: Aurora School PTO uses the money that we raise through our fundraisers to support our students and staff with the tools they need to succeed each school year. The county budget doesn't provide our school/teachers with everything that they wish to do or use in the classroom.
