Uncle Sam’s Birthday Party celebrates 26 Years
June 2015 – For the 26th year running, Uncle Sam’s Birthday Party promises to deliver a good time with great prizes. Tucker Community Foundation’s annual elimination dinner and drawing will be held Friday, July 3 at Canaan Valley Resort’s Main Lodge. Party goers will enjoy a fun filled evening with more than $12,000 in cash prizes, additional drawings and patriotic door prizes doled out in rapid succession.
According to Rob Burns, Executive Director, “The event generates enough revenue to support annual grant and scholarship awards and still provide plenty of prizes as a means of saying thanks to the community”.
Only 250 tickets are sold and the event is typically a sell- out. To purchase a ticket, stop by or call the Foundation’s main office in Parsons 304-478-2930, or the TCF Development Office in Davis 304-259-5008, or contact any Foundation board member. One ticket admits two for dinner. Tickets sell for $125.
The party has become a tradition for many as it kicks off a weekend of festivities and offers a unique opportunity to party with our own Uncle Sam, (and TCF President) David Cooper.
