Tucker Community Foundation will award more than $56,000 during its spring scholarship cycle.  Traditional and non-traditional students from Barbour, Grant, Mineral, Preston, Pocahontas, Randolph and Tucker County, WV and Garrett County, MD are encouraged to apply regardless of their field of study. Students attending technical schools are eligible for scholarship awards. Awards will from $500 to $4,000.

Scholarship applications will be available Feb. 6.  They can be downloaded at www.tuckerfoundation.net, or picked up from the Foundation office in Parsons, Run For It HQ in Davis, and Mountain Top and Five Rivers Libraries.  Applications are also distributed to guidance counselors throughout the Foundation service area.

In addition to annual scholarship awards, a $500 White Grass Café Culinary Scholarship is available for a WV resident attending a culinary arts school or taking cooking education classes and the Ryan Gosa Memorial Pass-Through Scholarship will provide $1,250 for a Tucker County student majoring in English-literature, journalism or music.

Completed applications are due by April 5 (postmark).  Scholarship recipients will be announced after the May board meeting.
