Preston Community Fund Launched

Board members recently dedicated funds to seed its first Area Fund, the Preston Community Fund.  The unrestricted endowed fund will benefit nonprofit organizations, community projects and other charitable causes in Preston County. The Foundation will match donations to the fund $1 for $1 up to $5,000.  Once the fund reaches $10,000, income generated will be available for annual grant awards based on a competitive application process.  A committee from Preston County will be appointed to make recommendations on distributions from the fund.
