About Disaster Recovery Fund for Covid-19

The Tucker Community Foundation invites nonprofit organizations and small businesses affected by COVID-19 to apply for a grant through the Disaster Recovery Fund.

The Foundation opened the fund in response to needs created by the COVID-19 pandemic in April. An initial $20,000 was distributed to small businesses. The Foundation raised an additional $50,000 to continue its efforts and provide assistance throughout the region.

“Like you, all of us at the Tucker Community Foundation are thinking of the individuals, families, businesses and communities that have and are being affected by COVID-19,” said David Cooper, president of the Board of Directors for the Tucker Community Foundation. “While we still don’t know how this pandemic will impact our communities in the long-term, we want to continue our mission of helping small businesses and organizations.”

Grant applications are available for nonprofits and small businesses (50 employees or less) who need assistance during this time are available. The link to the online application is on the website, tuckerfoundation.net, and due by Friday, Nov. 6.

“In response, we felt it was in our community’s best interest to initiate our Disaster Recovery Fund in April with $20,000,” Cooper said. “Doing so allows anyone who wants to help make a tax-deductible gift that will be used to directly address the needs of our communities, now and in the foreseeable future.”

Anyone can give to the fund and 100% of the donations will be used to address the immediate needs of small businesses and nonprofit organizations. Those interested in making a tax-deductible gift can do here.

Foundation fund holders and advisors can also recommend a grant to the Disaster Relief Fund from their donor advised fund. One hundred percent of the donations will be used to address community needs.
