While Garrett County, Maryland may lay outside of the West Virginia state borders, it shares the Appalachian highlands with the rest of the Foundation’s service area. Garrett County boasts of significant arable lands as well as tourism to State Parks and wild rivers, like the Upper Youghiogheny.
