Tips for High School Applicants
Please make sure you complete your activity sheet listing your activities from grades 9-12. Remember, community activities are just as important to us as school activities. Suggested format:
Varsity Football | 10, 11, 12 |
4-H | 9 – 12 |
Hi Y | 9, 11, 12 |
List any job experiences you had during your high school years:
Wait staff, Canaan Valley Resorts | summer9, 10 |
Life guard Community Pool | summer 11 |
If you are unsure about listing an activity, go ahead and list it. We will make the determination if it is acceptable and it can only help you, not hurt you.
Please make sure you sign the application before sending it.
The personal statement should tell us something about yourself not already included in your application. Please do not repeat material already listed in your activity sheet.
Don’t wait until the last minute. We appreciate early submission of applications. All applications must be postmarked by the April 3 deadline. No exceptions.
Please complete your activity sheet for any activities you participated in from High School graduation and beyond. Make sure the activity sheet is complete.
You must submit an official college transcript. Most colleges and universities prefer to submit transcripts directly to the Foundation so make sure they have the correct mailing address for TCF. Applications by college students without an official transcript are typically not competitive.
Early application is encouraged.
Please fill out the form as complete as possible.
Provide official transcripts of any accredited class taken in the last four years.
List any community activities that you participated in the last four years for your activity sheet.
In your personal statement please include why you are seeking a scholarship (i.e. finish a degree, training for new marketable skills, required as part of current employment, etc.)
Applications due: April 4, 2014
