Barbour Teams Run for It

-October 1, 2015- Five Barbour County teams were among the 1100 racers that lined up for Tucker Community Foundation’s annual Run For It held September 26. Barbour teams collectively raised $32,105 to benefit Kasson PTO, Belington Public Library, American Legion 96 & Auxiliary, Philippi Public Library, and Broaddus Hospital health programs. One hundred and thirty eight racers supported Barbour County teams.

Fifty three teams participated in the 2k walk and 5k race in Davis, the largest field to date. Total proceeds generated from the event that will benefit causes in eight counties exceeded $194,000. Tucker Community Foundation hosts the annual race to raise additional support and awareness for nonprofits and community causes.
