BACKGROUND:  The Easton Fund was initiated in the fall of 2009 with the intention of enhancing opportunities for the creative arts in Tucker County schools.  The fund was established in memory of Dutch Easton, not only an innovator with pen and pencil, sculpture, and graphic arts, but also an ornate character that really fit no particular mold.   Born February 18, 1980 in Alexandria, VA, Dutch resided in Canaan Valley for several years prior to his passing in March 2004.  He leaves a daughter who lives in Elkins at the time of initiation of this fund.
