Barbour County is the gem of Laurel Mountain, sitting at its western flanks and filtering the air before sieving it through wind machines on its unending flow eastward.

Grants and scholarships from Tucker Community Foundation benefit Barbour County programs and students.  Several nonprofits and both county libraries are very involved with the Run For It program raising support for Barbour County.
