Please note award categories require participation in qualifying events, such as 2k, 5k, and/or Virtual, to be eligible for the award, as provided in each award description below.

TUCKER COMMUNITY FOUNDATION AWARDS

2k, 5k, and Virtual Awards:

Icon Award: Best fundraising teams (Top 10 Teams #1-5)

Extra Mile Award: Judges consider fundraising, team size, effort, and team spirit (Top 10 Teams #6-10)

Fastest 5k: Top 3 M/F in each: Overall; 10 and under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; and 80+

Gold Star Award

Team Spirit: Best demonstration of team camaraderie while showing dedication, pride, and loyalty to your chosen cause

Spirit of Philanthropy: Teams raising support for endowed funds or projects of the Tucker Community Foundation

Best of Region

Courage Award: Recognizes participation of a remarkable challenged athlete

Health & Humanity Award: Most money raised by an individual fundraiser

New Feet on the Course: Best newcomer

In It to Win It Leadership Award: Best Team Captain

Citizenship Award: Longest-standing registered Run For It participant

First Team to Register: The first team to submit their race registration form

2k and 5k Awards:

Youngest/Oldest Registered Participant: M/F Overall

Luck of the Draw: Random drawing from 2k and 5k finishers

2k Awards:

Wellness Award: August step-tracking challenge for registered 2k walk participants

Where’s the Logo Award: Challenge to find hidden Run For It logos along the 2k racecourse

Mind & Body Award: Not a poker run, but a poker walk challenge to retrieve all tokens along the 2k racecourse for one lucky winner to win a spa package

Best Walking Team Photo: Challenge for walkers to snap the best team photo along the 2k racecourse

Best Team Costume: Represent your team and cause with eye-catching costumes

Virtual Award:

Best Team Photo Collage: Be as creative as you can to represent your team and cause with the best photo collage.  All entries must be received by September 21, 2024, for review and consideration.  Entries may be mailed to the TCF Office at TCF-RFI, P.O. Box 491, Parsons, WV 26287 or submitted via email to runforit@tuckerfoundation.net.

AUXILIARY AWARDS (2k, 5k, or Virtual)

County Commission Team Awards: Generous funding for these awards is provided by Barbour, Grant, Mineral, Pocahontas, Preston, Randolph, and Tucker Counties in West Virginia, and Garrett County, Maryland.

Bernard McDonough Foundation Awards: Generous funding for these awards is provided by the Bernard McDonough Foundation.

Barbour County Community Foundation Awards: Generous funding for these awards is provided by the Barbour County Community Foundation.
